The Jack Ridge trail is listed as 7 miles, but you can take Bandy Creek Road of HWY 297 just as you enter the Big South Fork River Recreation Area after heading east from Tanglewood. Click on the map image below for more details. The All Trails link starts you from Bandy Creek.
This is a multi-use trail: hikers, horses, and mountain bikers. During peak horse season, you might leave it to the horse people. Otherwise, it’s a good hike or bike loop if you park where the loop starts.
